What have you been creative with lately?
Living in a small home brings about many opportunities to be creative as far as living space goes.Recently I have been guided to release the old and open up more space. It is truly wonderful how spirit guides and directs you, I actually feel as though I am nesting, and yes spirit I am open to you bringing in someone to share all of this with.Just had to add that!!
I have been working on this for about a week now and was in the middle of recreating a room that had been full of totes of the kids childhood treasures when I read Diana's post on taking something old and making it new. Thank you Diana, your messages are always so timely in my life. I started thinking now, how can I turn this room into a nice sitting area, costing next to nothing. The totes went to the garage, the unnecessary things to either to Good Will or the garbage, within a few hours the room was clear. A few cans of paint, the color of which the angels picked out because I had no idea when I went to pick it out, but they seemed to pop out at me once I was there. Since there are many windows in the room I wanted new curtains to spruce it up. Then I was reminded that I had some left over fabric from a previous project, that coincidentally matched the colors of the room. A little cutting, sewing and creative magic, and voila, new curtains.
I now have a cute little sitting place, with lots of bright sunshine, that I adore. Not only do I feel great about this space, I have created more space within me doing the project. Clutter brings us down, and even though the door was always closed to this room, I still knew it was there, it was like a haunting behind the door. My 2 year old grand daughter even commented on it when she was here. she said Grandma, you need to clean this up, and even offered to help!!! Out of the mouths of babes. I can now feel good within me about this room, rather than close the door on it.
The point here is that even though you may have your clutter tucked away in a closet or a back room, it is more than likely haunting you. When we slow down enough in life, and take a few steps, spirit does guide us to what can be done. Being creative doesn't have to cost a lot of money. Being creative brings us out of our heads and into our hearts. Projects that seem overwhelming, flow smoothly, when we allow ourselves to be guided.
Can I inspire you to open that door of creativity in your living spaces?
