The Root Chakra

The Chakras are seven key locations positioned throughout your body associated with the sacred lotus flower. Each location also corresponds to a color. Over the next seven days, I have decided I will be posting information about each chakra individually, so we can all learn and grow. After posting, Sahvanna and I will be planning a tele-class or webinar where we can all use this information and clear our Chakras together as a group, using powerful and strong light group energy.

The Root Chakra
Color: A Pure Bright Red
Location: Base of your Spine/The Perenium
Key Phrases for a Healthy Root Chakra: "I have." "Firm to the Ground." "Feet planted on the ground."

The Root Chakra is always open. Linking you to the Earth and focusing on your sheer physical survival. It grounds you with a healthy desire for the basics, such as food, shelter, warmth, etc. To a degree, one could compare the Root Chakra to Freud's id. It controls our primal desires.

A clear and shiny apple red Root Chakra results in a strong feeling of security with ourselves and the Earth and overall life stability. It helps you feel connected to the Earth and to its inhabitants. A sign of a malnourished Root Chakra, is when you feel disassociated with the world around you or insecure. Sometimes a clouded Chakra may even manifest as lower back pain. I know it does for me!

When cleansing your Root Chakra, focus on turning that muddy red ball of light into a shiny red apple color, vibrant and full of life. Imagine a cord connecting your Root chakra with the core of the Earth and the cord pulsating with each deep breath you take.

You are part of the Earth. It helped to create us, it nurtures us, and loves us. We are a part of the Earth, just as we are a part of everyone one of it's inhabitants. From the butterflies, to the fish, to the birds and lions, we are all it's Children. Your Root Chakra is a reminder of that, it Grounds you to the Earth and establishes your connection to the world around you.
