I heard this the other day on the radio and got me thinking... All this week at work , I was frustrated. Thinking back what made me so upset. I have always valued my self worth . I was taught to do your best know matter what job that you do. My main job that had supported I and my daughter, was through maintenance cleaning. I had become an accomplished cleaner through the banks ,private homes, and eventually the school districts..I was honored with an award for outstanding services that teachers usually get. Wow! I was the 1st maintenance worker to ever receive one in Nevada City School district. In 2007 I moved to Idaho. I now work for the Boise School District.I was welcomed by some. I saw alot of competition with your status . If you had a Degree, you were better than other co- workers.I thought if you could take their title away, I would ask, Who are you?. Are You living your true authentic self?. Do you mask your self worth behind this title?. Do you honor and respect others as you would like to be treated?. And why do you judge me as if I was not in the same room. Maybe just a hello, or acknowledge that you were in the same room. I realized I allowed myself to care what people thought of me. I know that I cant change another persons behavior, but I am in charge of my feelings. I know inside my value, of who I truly am. I am a spiritual Being having a human experience.I am not the job. I will do it well, but I am here to experience the connection to the other Divine Souls, learning to love one another. Honor and respect each others individualism. Sometimes Spirit gently reminds us, what are you focusing your energy on. Nudging you to stay true to your path, Not to get caught up in another's Reality. As one of my Spiritual Teachers and dear friend Diana ( Yes the Dancing Goddess) Reminded me I have to focus on my Divine Spiritual path, and not to put energy into things that take my power away.
