A Journey through the Country......a journey through the senses

Our journey started out yesterday morning in Winnipeg Manitoba very early in the morning, in fact I was still sleeping for the first 2 hours of the trip.......and in case you read the earlier blog, yes I woke up 15 minutes before stopping for the morning coffee............thank you angels.

It had been so miserably cold in Winnepeg last night that I didn't have a change to do my full moon ceremony,, thankfully we had a beautiful morning which allowed me a quick few moments to do a quick one while Mike fuelled the truck. I still feel strange about doing this out in the open, so went behind a near by building so no one would see me. For some reason this month was a huge release, and very emotional with lots coming up for release.

We travelled through the praire lands of Canada, with wheat fields as far as the eye could see. Not as exciting a drive as the last few days, in fact pretty boring. I was so glad when Mike pulled into the rest stop for a nap, I still needed to have a good cry. I left the truck and went for a walk in the near by little town. I have no idea what I was releasing, but was more that willing to let it go, so I walked and cried. Living in a truck for the past few days hasn't really given me an opportunity to keep up with all my practices, so spent time doing centering breathing and reconnecting. I found a small church in the area, outside of which was a stature of St. Anne, I stood there for some time talking with her, handing her my stuff so to say. I felt so much better.

I was playing on the computer for a bit and my comment on facebook for the day was something about communication, boy was I right on the nose with that one! For this much of the trip I had been hiding a part of me from Mike because he thinks I am strange, but it had been making me feel trapped inside, I had to get it out. So while driving through this dry scenery we had the best discussion we have had the whole trip, in fact it lasted for several hours discussing our different view points. I can't even discribe how it felt to be open about who I really am, and know that even though he doesn't necessarily agree with my beliefs, he respects me as someone who can bring peace to peoples lives. Could it be that my throat chakra was the focus of my release for the month???

Not much to see as far as sights today,, but there is a certain beauty to this part of Canada, a certain tranquility, makes one wonder how people in the wild western years made it with what they had at the time. This leg of the trip brought back memories of childhood tv shows like Little House on the Praire,

We rolled into Calgary Alberta in the early evening, after driving close to 1300 kms, a very long day. I certainly have a new deep respect for long haul truck drivers. They drive long hours, and when they pull over, the day is not done, with paper work, checking the truck, and trying to catch up with family the day is shot.

As we pulled into Calgary we could see the mountain ranges off in the distance and the excitement within me started to grow, I could feel my connection with the rock igniting again.

I can't say enough about my tour guide. I have started sending pictures to a friends daughter so she can learn about the trip, and once he found out about this he started slowing the truck down a bit so I could snap pictures, he tells me all about the area we are driving through, and even rolls the window down so I can get a clearer shot. Right now he would normally be rolling through the mountains, but has pulled over till the sun comes up so I don't miss anything. I am so excited about the ride today, we will arrive later this afternoon in beautiful British Columbia, after driving through the Rockie Mountains. As we drove through Calgary I could feel the fairies all around me, they are excited about today as well. As for Chrissy, I hope we get some great shots for you, I am hoping to see a Moose for you.
