People with the canary as a totem find that their voice becomes awakened. This awakening doesn't necessarily translate into musical talent. Instead, it refers to the symbolic "song" of life. People with canaries as a totem need to think about the song their life has been singing and think about removing any "sour" notes. The meaning behind the words may also be felt more for those with a canary totem. Loving words become moreso, while words that might have only been a slight barb, cut deeply.Canaries also reflect an awakening of the heart and throat chakras (power centers within the body). This gives power to the words and emotions of a person with a canary totem, making them felt more strongly than they might otherwise have been felt.
Canary people are also more sensitive to the atmosphere in their environment. Whether from pollutants or bad emotions, canary people should avoid such places at all costs. They thrive in fresh, clean air and surrounded by love.
